For Valentines day, Aleks & I always cook a really fancy meal, wrap it in heated containers, and head up to the usual mountain picnic spot in Julian. We always end up having the most random exciting conversations, and eventually talk about the love. Yesterday, we were measuring how quickly the shadows were moving, using a boulder as reference, when two little love deers came up behind us. Both sides were equally scared when Aleks yelled, "Meg Deer!!" I captured one of their behinds.
